Damn, I miss 90’s. Shit… I miss the beginnings of the 21st century. When chill movies where really meant to chill. Maybe is because I was so naive, that everything at that time used to make an impact in me. But even in these times, this movie is not an exception.

Things that I enjoy about the movie
The narration
I like this kind of comedy. Every seems so, simple. I can related to simple so chill. The narration is awesome. It feels like when some acquaintance tells you a story, and he/she is trying to sound relevant. But you imagine it, you really know what went down.
High School and College all over again
All characters fit the with some people I met when I was in High School and College (mainly college).
Tracy Flick. The bookworm high achiever. Always getting good grades, making events, fundraising for stuff.
Paul Metzler. The clueless jock head. Your regular type of guy. Not messing with anybody. He’s also Tammy’s brother.
Tammy Metzler. The outcast school girl with lesbian tendencies towards Lisa. She’s a stalker, because she doesn’t take rejection very well at young age. Almost a lesbian version of me when I was young. She’s Paul’s sister.
Lisa Flanagan. The cunt. I mean, yeah Tammy was a creep, but come on messing with her brother. It’s kind cunty. ‘Nuff said. She’s Tammy’s love interest and Paul’s brief girlfriend.
Everybody is lossing their shit and ethics!
Modern Lolita. Teacher Dave Novotny (Mr. McAllister best friend) and Tracy where involved in affair. They got caught when Mr. Novotny sent a love letter to Tracy that says that he wanted to take her to Maui (only God knows why so far).
It was weird imagine it in real life. He got fired from high school and kick out the house by his wife Linda.
Dogding the bullet. Tracy was running for high-school president. She didn’t have no oponents, so she was going to win by default. If she was going to win, Mr. McAllister and her were going to spend a lot time together. From the point of view of the movie Tracy was looking for round 2 with Mr. McAllister, but his “spidersense” detected her intentions. So he convinced to Paul to also run for president too, so Tracy wouldn’t win.
Mr. McAllister’s trying to do a babality. Mr. McAllister and his old lady Dianne are trying to have a baby. They try and try and try and they could not get it done. But you can see the fustration of Mr. McAllister when Dianne is demanding during sex “Come on, fill me up!”. Let’s face it is not very sutil… or sexy.
Tracy loses her shit. The result was failing up to the pressuare of the elections, torn up all the campaign posters on the school. She tries to get rid of the evidence but Tammy spots her.
Tammy self-destruction. Dealing with Lisa rejection, she makes herself expeled by taking the fault for Tracy about the campaign posters. At the beginning looks like self-destruction of her academic life. But it turned out good for her when her parents send her to all girl catholic high school. “Like a pig on shit”.
Mr. McAllister affair shits the bed. Trying not so hard to avoid the temptation, Mr. McAllister has fallen for his best friend (Dave Novotny) ex-wife (Linda Novotny).After and afternoon of love making, Mr. McAllister planned a romantic meeting with Linda in some motel. Got the champagne cracking, clean the tub of the hotel and so. Fancy, eh?
But Linda, who I liked to call “Cunt 2”, tells everything to Ms. McAllister and got him kick-out of the house, not enough to said she triggered this affair. Admit it, that was kind of cunty.
After a night of not well sleeping in the car, he came up to the conclusion that is all Tracy fault for fucking his best friend, getting him fired and messing the status quo of his life. At the last minute when Tracy is claiming victory before time, he decides to sabotage the election in order for her to lose.
But he’s not very sutil getting rid of the evidence. The principal and the election comitty get notice of this, and fired Mr. McAllister.
A fresh start. Mr. McAllister decides to start over in New York. Even that his life is never going to be the same as before, he’s adapt to the New York life style. He starts dating again and got a new job at the New York museum explaining stuff, almost like a teacher. So in a way everything starts working out for him again. This the part of the movie that a I really like.
A meeting with the past. Yes, everything is good for Mr. McAllister, until he sees with Tracy outside a goverment build in Washington getting inside of a limo. He wanted to go to her, and exposed her for the poster and call her a fraud. As the limo drives away, Mr. McAllister was with every inch of his body resting to throw his drink at the limo, but he just could help it and he does thow it and flee the out of their site.
In conclusion was a pretty good movie. This movie is a lifesaver. If you can’t decide what movie to watch, pick this and enjoy it with a Diet Coke and a Meat Lover Pizza.
